Burn Fat Rules
Chew it well, pay attention, and eat slowly. Tasting every bite to the fullest, you will get every bit of nourishing energy absorbing thru your oral mucous membrane. Also, a very well prepared (chewed) bite is ready for the next phase in the stomach. Not chewing our food enough is the cause of all our diseases according to some adepts. Also, chewing thoroughly will give you early satisfaction, will fill you up sooner.
No sitting around in front of your computer or watching TV while dipping chips in melted cheese.
Small portions of high quality, well prepared.
Stop when you feel that you could still eat more. Stay almost a little bit on the hungry side.
See, here is the trick. You will feel that little tingling in your stomach, you definitely could eat more, you are not full, yet, but this is the state when you are burning fat. Then drink some water. Then when you cannot take it any longer, eat a little, again. Not too much. Just to keep the flame burning.
I know, I know. You are in a fine-dining restaurant, there are all those fancy and delicious preparations. You got your order, a couple of bites, and you stop. How can you do that? The chef comes after you. What can we do? We keep eating because we do not want to waste all that good food. "They wouldn`t give this much if we didn`t need it, right?" Well, to take it home is always an option.
Or see what my wife does. (Three children, yet looks gorgeous, simply following my rules.) She never orders for herself. One bite from my plate, one bite from the childrens`plate, and she is done. Could she eat more? I am sure she could but she seldom does. Is she always starving? Maybe.
But seriously. Do not stuff yourself, finish when you could still eat. (Your body knows when it is enough, and it is usually enough.)
Amazing results can be seen in a week. Especially with those little needles in your ear that you can press on even before you start you meals.
This is an amazing rule.
If you can adhere to this only one rule, you will burn fat crazy.
Try to eat your dinner before 6:00 PM, and be done. If you need a snack later, try to chew on raw cabbage, carrot, and apple, something healthy with low glycemic index. Definitely avoid ice-cream or chips in cheese at 9 PM watching your favorite show.
I told you it won`t be easy, but actually after a while, your body will get used to it.
I remember back in Med School, in the dorm, the canteen closed at 6 PM. No vending machines, no stashed food usually, so we “starved” until next morning. Needless to say, I was in the best shape of my life, skinny and carved. (Also young, that might not hurt, either)
The reasons for achieving results with this recommendation is, as you know, your metabolism is the slowest at night. So everything you eat late evening will be accumulated and stored.
From a Traditional view-point, the Qi energy has a daily rhythm arriving to different organs in every two hours throughout the day. Our digestive organs are more active before noon and maybe early afternoon, but then – after 6 PM - the Qi nourishes organs that are not involved in digestion.
In any event, if you can resist eating after 6 PM, you will lose weight.
This might not fit everybody. If you feel weak or dizzy, do not hesitate to eat a snack. It is better to be well with some extra pounds on, than to force to lose weight and slip into some hypoglycemic state. So use caution.
In any event if you eat frequent portions throughout your day and can afford no to eat after 18:00, you will burn fat.
No sugar, no milk, no sweeteners. Also, the stronger the coffee is the better.
I do not have a good scientific explanation for why this helps to burn fat but it is an old observation. Body builders have been using this trick for a long time before their work out to help shred fat and get leaner.
Eat sea food, sushi, or poultry if you can`t stand it any more (lower in saturated fats) but avoid red meat whenever possible.

Whoa, wait a minute, I drink…
…No, you do not.
We are chronically dehydrated. There are people around (overweight people) who never drink water. They get water in their coffee, in their soup, in their soda, but actually weeks go by without drinking real water.
First of all you do not need the extra load of sugar and preservatives loaded in the pops.
But most importantly, drinking water actually detoxifies. You need to flush the poisons and burnt fat out from your system.
Drink at least 2 times 500 mL (16.9 Fl oz) water ( 2 bottle size) before lunch and 2 or 3 times in the afternoon and evening. That makes up two and a half liter for a day, which is with your other drinks, is your daily need.
True, it depends on your daily activity, the climate, etc, sometimes you can get away with less. But a basic rule of thumb, during the period of weight loss program, you need more water than usual.
Is it too much water to drink? This is only 10 cans, some can drink that much beer in a very short period of time.
Basic rule. Check your urine. It should be always light yellow, if it is dark, it means you`re concentrated, you need to hydrate yourself.
Burn Fat Rules bottom line: you need to flush the poisons out. (tap water is fine, it is well monitored, and cheap.) Do not feed the water cartels and plastic bottle companies.
Also, plastic bottles are detrimental to the environment, they won`t decompose, also very harmful to your own health, badly monitored, they fell out of the usual scope of regulations. But this is another lecture for another time.

Nevertheless, recent studies focus on stress greatly because it causes obesity.
It is interesting. Stress has a purpose in animal kingdom. When the mammoth charges at you, you immediately jump in the "flight or fight" state, adrenalin and glucocorticoid hormones rush into your system to enhance vital functions, to assist you in survival.
Then switch off and you carry on.
In case the switch off won`t happen, you`re, in our modern society we all are, in a chronic stress stage. On a side note the lower you`re on the totem pole, the more stress you have (recent stduy) but virtually everybody is in a chronic stress state in out modern society.
What happens is that those above mentioned hormones help to produce a scpecial neuropeptid hormone, (NPY) that causes fat cells grow in number and size, causing especially the "appple-shape" very harmful obesity.
Recent research focuses NPY because by blocking it (future slimming drug?) immediately reduces your waiste line, fat goes away but not just that, also atherosclerotic plaques, and fatty liver get reduced.
Long story short...
...whatever you need to do, meditate, get away from the craziness, even it is only for a couple of minutes in a day to switch off the stress button, it would immediately help to reduce obesity.
This is so important that stress management should be the first Burn Fat Rule.
